This auction item (pictured above) is a

1993-97 Fender Duo-Sonic. 22.7” short scale model.

Black, made in Mexico. Hasn’t been cleaned, but in very good shape. Large “Emily” sticker on the back, little fairy ballerina sticker on the front.

Steve bought this guitar many years ago for his wife, Heather. He got her a Duo-Sonic in particular because Patti Smith played one.

It became their “house guitar” and was used a lot by Steve to work on things at home, whether they were new ideas for music or making sure he remembered what he was doing before going into the studio or on tour. It was not played with a metal pick ala the Shellac/Big Black guitars, so it has sustained very little wear and is in excellent condition.

Comes with case and strap.

Auction will be open for roughly three weeks and will close Thursday August 14 at 3PM Eastern.
