“In 1995, I went to see Shellac at (I think) the Thread Waxing Space in NYC. I had heard that Steve Albini was a fan of my zine, Beer Frame (I don't recall if someone told me this, or if Steve had mentioned the zine in something he wrote, or what), so I brought a Beer Frame T-shirt with me. At some point during Shellac's set, in between songs, I yelled up at Steve and tossed him the t-shirt. He looked at it, smiled, and immediately reached down and shook my hand. That's how we ‘met.’”
